Google Commemorates Man's Foray Into Space

Google.com - Yuri GagarinToday’s Google logo is dedicated to Yuri Gagarin who on April 12th, 1961 became the first person in space and orbit the Earth.

During the 1 hour, 48 minutes he spent in orbit, Gagarin is speculated to have commented, “I don’t see any God up here.” Of course no one has been able to confirm or deny this.

Gagarin didn’t have to go all the way up there to see if God really exists, I being an earth-bound misfit, am living proof that God just doesn’t exist, not there and certainly not down here!

Gagarin, lost his life in a training accident on March 27, 1968 in the city of Kirzhach, in erstwhile USSR.
